The California Dressage Society

 

is an organization whose purpose is to foster an interest among horsemen in Dressage. The program of the Society is educational, designed primarily to offer a framework in which individuals can progress with the schooling of themselves and their horses.

Biomechanics of the Pyramid of Training DR. HILARY CLAYTON is one of those multi-talented individuals: rider, vet, author, researcher, and clinician Dr Clayton is known internationally for her ongoing contribution to the understanding of equine biomechanics particularly relating to performance and conditioning. Dr. Clayton’s targeted studies in bitting, saddle fit biometrics, kinematics and kinetics, and locomotion have provided valuable insight into the mechanics of equine sports.

 TOM MEYERS worked to learn everything he possibly could about equine athletes, their muscle development, care and treatments for their soft tissue injuries. Tom has been at the heart of the United States Dressage world since 1995 when he worked his first Olympic and World Equestrian Games and he hasn’t missed one yet.

 SEANA ADAMSON is a USDF Gold Medalist. She holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, specializing in Sport Psychology and the issues unique to equestrian athletes. Her unique communication skills combined with over 30 years of experience as a rider and trainer give her a large bag of tools with which to help you progress.

 MIKE TOMLINSON - FEI VET The first job after picking up his diploma was at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, where he worked on several of the competing horses. He has been Chef d’Equipe for the USET Endurance Team, USET Team Vet for numerous competitions.
